On Wednesday. I have a driving lesson, my first of 8. I am scared as hell because I don't drive. I don't drive because I have been in so many accidents, and frankly, other driver's scare the hell out of me. My instructor is the kind that will stomp your foot down on the gas so I must show no weakness. The good thing is, he has his own brake so I don't have to worry much about mowing down kids and old lady's.
I am enjoying my two weeks off but I am so busy! I have a driving course on both weekends, lessons during the week, an animal rights meeting tomorrow, tattoo touch up tomorrow, Relay for life on Friday, a friend in from out of town, plus a house to clean...I need a vacation from my vacation.
Yesterday though, I found time to take Pepper for a walk and Steve and I saved a turtle. It had crawled from the lake and was stuck across a dirt road. It was super hot so we moved him/her back to the lake. It peed everywhere but Steve managed to avoid getting it on himself.

Wow, sounds like a vacation ;D
hehe
you don't drive?
nope don't drive, never have
I was in a bad accident and am too chicken shit. So now I am trying it out. I need more freedom!
oh, you sound so busy! good stuff though, lots of good stuff. yea, turtle rescue, what's a little turtle pee in the big picture, ha.
Good luck! i was thinking I need to go get some lessons too- but I am having to work myself over the fear...I think if you do it every day it is easier than letting time lapse...that is my tip! Cool about the turtle...p.s i found myself talking to a dairy farmer about being nice to cows and the story of how you turned vegetarian...and that if I lived with cows everyday I would HAVE to be a vegetarian cos I couldn't eat my friends or my friends relatives!
I'm really caring about animals and the environment recently - i also was watching a dog shelter about how this guy rescues dogs and trains them up to be useful eg catch wild pests, customs searches etc...I thought of you too :) Maybe yo should turn into a dog whisperer/trainer...acting dogs are always in demand, lol
Good on you Shannon for tackling your fear of driving. My only advise is to keep breathing (blow out air from your mouth) to keep tension from building up in your body. And be gentle on yourself, no unkind thoughts, tell them to piss off and that you are going to overcome this affliction!
Big hugs
