I need to win the lottery. Life is just too expensive. I am seriously thinking about opening up a sweatshop.
So until my taxes are paid, my couch paid off, my driving course paid for, my credit card paid off...I am renouncing the crappy little bit of social life I had and am going even further into seclusion. From here on out my entertainment is watching paint dry and playing beer pong with glasses of water. (Beer is too expensive)
OK my situation is not dire but I really want to get all my debt paid off so I can renovate my house. I think 1.5 years should get me there. It is really hard to save money though, when you are married to someone who is a material girl. Or boy. Steve loves his "stuff". And I have a hard time saying no, which is why we have two vehicles when I don't drive, and two flat screen TVs when I don't watch TV.
I am bad too though. I have about ten huge moving boxes full of books, most of which I haven't read yet. I am a book hoarder and still go to the used book store to buy more. Well maybe this self exile into the land of hermitville for the sake of monetary savings will allow me to spend more time on writing. But I won't bet on it.

you think life is expensive there? come move down under :P! wow but I'm grateful that now I can afford USD so much easier :D
Wow impressive you are finally learning how to drive...I've given up my driving lessons etc for grandmaly necessities such as blinds on my windows...LOL my greatest indulgence would have to be...eating organic food...since when did NATURE have such a high price tag? *sigh modern life is SAD.
I will make you a deal. If you win the lottery you give me half, and if I win I will give you half. :) Bills suck!
Shannon I will let you in on the secret about attracting more money.
The first thing you do if you want more money is you must give some of your money away. It is that simple.
Give with open heart and money will come back to you multiplied. Do it discreetly, silently and with full confident. I am a constant giver and money flows into my life easily and effortlessly.
It is called the Law of Attraction.
Good luck dear friend.
Hugs

Actually Peggy, I think that is the problem! I gave a ton of money away to local animal rescues and now I am broke.
Well financially broke anyway. I don't mind giving away my money to deserving causes.
